Oxfordshire nano-coating company comes top in the ‘Most Innovative Company of the Year’ category

P2i is proud to announce that it has won a Gold Stevie® Award in the ‘Most Innovative Company of the Year’ category, for businesses with up to 2,500 employees, at The 14th Annual International Business Awards.

Stevie Award winners were determined by the average scores of more than 200 executives worldwide who participated on 12 juries. The judges praised P2i for offering a cost effective solution for mobile phone manufacturers, which affects many people’s lives for the better. They also saw the promise of other applications for the technology in the future.

P2i CEO Ady Moores commented, “It’s been a big year for P2i, with our technology being applied to more devices than ever before and our presence globally increasing all the time. To be recognised by the International Business Awards for the third year in a row, is a testament to the hard work and dedication of this team to deliver truly innovative solutions to the marketplace.”

P2i won a gold in the ‘Most Innovative Company of the Year’ in Europe category in 2015, before winning silver in the ‘Most Innovative Company of the Year’ in Asia (China, Japan and Korea) category in 2016. With the categories reformatted, it meant for the first time P2i was competing with the rest of the world in this category.

Moores adds, “P2i is challenging the way people think about everyday conventional liquid protection. Although only a limited number of manufacturers are offering water resistance, most of the industry leaders are taking it seriously and the level of interest and enquiries from other manufacturers looking for water resistant solutions has sky-rocketed in the last year. P2i’s technology offers an alternative to the expensive and cumbersome mechanical solutions offered today, and hydrophobic nano-coating is the mass market answer to making large segments of the smartphone market water resistant in a relatively short space of time.”

The International Business Awards are the world’s premier business awards programme. All individuals and organisations worldwide – public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small – are eligible to submit nominations. The 2017 IBAs received entries from more than 60 nations and territories.

“The IBA judges from across the world were highly impressed with the nominations they reviewed this year. With the level of achievement documented in the nominations from 60 nations, the Stevie Awards are proud to honour organisations that demonstrate a high level of achievement in a variety of industries” said Michael Gallagher, president and founder of the Stevie Awards.

“We look forward to sharing many of these stories with people around the world over the coming months, through the Stevie Awards blog and social media channels, with the hope to inspire others to high achievement.”

Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word for “crowned,” the awards will be presented to winners at a gala awards banquet at the W Hotel in Barcelona, Spain on the 21st October.
